Content marketing is all about persuasion and driving sales. Great content marketing compels users to purchase a product or a service. Skilled copywriters capture the user’s attention and earn their trust. As such, I understand sales funnels, use emotion and empathy, and delight readers to take action.

EBAY BUCKS

I created the marketing content for eBay Bucks, the company’s first loyalty program. This project allowed me to lead the design and deep dive into the messaging hierarchy. I also designed frameworks, and led terminology work sessions with stakeholders.

EBAY BID ASSISTANT

I was able to create some fun and engaging marketing copy for eBay’s bid assistant product.

At the time, eBay wasn’t known for innovative or particularly interesting content. I pushed very hard on the business stakeholders to let me try something new and different. The result was that the SVP for this product area clapped when it went live!

NOVELL WEBSITE

As the managing editor at Novell, I was responsible for the homepage and portal landing pages for http://www.novell.com.

I developed portal pages for each of the audience segments: partners, system admins, small business owners, and populated each segment with a feature story and related links for that audience.

For the homepage, I created and published new lead stories each week. These were editorial and marketing in nature, and typically followed a customer case study format.

FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR

One of my first accomplishments at Fairchild was to write and publish an article in EE Times. I also created landing pages to tell the Fairchild story and market the benefits of our products. In addition, I wrote and edited the company’s monthly external newsletter, “Power Solutions.”

INTEL

As a copywriter, I created marketing case studies for Intel’s business computing division.

To do this, I interviewed Intel customers and worked closely with the company’s technical marketing team.

I created partner success stories for the IBM eBusiness group. These stories were part of their PartnerWorld website and marketing campaigns.

I interviewed the company’s partners and wrote case studies about how they were benefiting from IBM’s product solutions.

ASPECT 

For Aspect, I created customer success stories for their CRM and contact center solutions. These marketing stories showed how Aspect’s products saved their clients money and increased their productivity.

I also created and published a monthly newsletter targeted to Aspect’s business partners and integrators.
